Bryans Named Fans’ Favourite for 13th Time

American twins extend record reign in doubles category

Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan have been voted by fans as the Fans’ Favourite presented by Moët & Chandon for a 13th year in a row. They received their trophies Thursday evening at the Nitto ATP Finals Official Launch, presented by Moët & Chandon, at the Tower of London.

"We’re pumped. This is a thrill to win this award," said Bob. "It’s something we don’t take for granted. We really try to entertain and give back as much as we can. To feel this support from the fans is incredible for us. It makes us feel good. It makes what we do fun. We’re here to try to inspire the next generation of doubles players, hopefully some twins. We love this award."

The 39-year-old Americans extend their record reign in the doubles category, with Spaniards Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez finishing second in the voting, followed by Jamie Murray/Bruno Soares, Pierre-Hugues Herbert/Nicolas Mahut and Rohan Bopanna/Pablo Cuevas.

"Bruno is big in Brazil. He has millions of followers," said Mike. "I told him the internet might have been down, he should be sweeping that vote... I know there are a lot of popular teams and to win it for this many years in a row is really cool. I don’t know how we’re doing it, maybe because we look alike.

"We can feel the love from the fans. We love what we do, and to travel around the world and play for our fans, it makes our job really thrilling. And we like to give back, we like to sign the extra autograph, interact with our fans and do whatever we can to make them happy."

The Bryans are bidding for their fifth season finale title this coming week at The O2 in London. They have won two titles this season in Atlanta and Eastbourne, and have reached the Australian Open final (l. to Kontinen/Peers) and the semi-finals at the US Open and at ATP World Tour Masters 1000 tournaments in Rome and Miami.
