ATP ACES For Charity: Atlanta
ATP ACES for Charity makes an impact off the court in Atlanta by supporting the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta to help promote tennis in the region and to ensure an outreach to a diverse and underserved audience.
Charities and Causes
The tournament and their title sponsor, BB&T, support the YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta to help promote tennis in the region and, to ensure an outreach to a diverse and underserved audience. Over the course of the last ten years, Y's across Atlanta have introduced the sport of tennis to more than 60,000 children. The Y is providing access to tennis programs, increasing exposure to the sport and helping children build lifelong skills and memories.
The YMCA strengthens children, families and communities, focusing on improving academic achievement in school and empowering healthy living through sport. The YMCA Metropolitan Atlanta offers tennis lessons, clinics and mini-leagues at many of their Y facilities and in partnership with additional tennis facilities, schools and parks.
In 2015, the BB&T Atlanta Open received a $15,000 grant in support of YMCA of Metropolitan Atlanta through the ATP ACES For Charity programme.
