Dimitrov To Play At 2020 Sofia Open
Former World No. 3 confirms participation in Bulgaria
Grigor Dimitrov is set to play on home soil for the fifth edition of the Sofia Open, to be held from 28 September to 4 October 2020 at the Arena Armeec. The Bulgarian claimed the 2017 crown with victory over David Goffin.
“I am excited and happy to be coming back to play at the Sofia Open this year,” said Dimitrov. “The memories I have from 2017 are unforgettable and the support of all the fans and playing in front of them was just amazing. I look forward to seeing everyone back at the Arena Armeec in September 2020.”
The 28-year-old Dimitrov started the 2020 ATP Tour season in Sydney, helping Bulgaria to victories over Great Britain and Moldova at the ATP Cup. He is currently No. 19 in the FedEx ATP Rankings.

From 2020, the Sofia Open has a new slot in the ATP calendar and will take place in September and our goal will continue to be developing and growing the Sofia Open tournament.”
