Djokovic Withdraws From 2022 Australian Open
Novak Djokovic will not get the chance to play for a 10th Australian Open title after the Australian Federal Court upheld the cancellation of his Australian visa Sunday.
The Serb, who would have been top seed at Melbourne Park, will be withdrawn from the men’s singles field. Because the court’s decision was delivered after Monday’s schedule of play had been released, there will be no shuffling of seeds in the men’s draw.
Instead, Italian lucky loser Salvatore Caruso will take Djokovic’s place at the top of the draw.
