Doubles Year-End No. 1 Is Down To One Match...

Two teams can still achieve the feat

Editor's Note: This story was updated following both of Friday's doubles matches.

The year-end No. 1 spot in the FedEx ATP Doubles Team Rankings has come down to one match at the Nitto ATP Finals.

If Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury defeat Jurgen Melzer and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in their semi-final on Saturday, Ram and Salisbury will finish the season in the top spot. If Melzer and Roger-Vasselin win, Mate Pavic and Bruno Soares will be the year-end No. 1 team.

Entering Friday's action, Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos were still in contention, but they had to be undefeated champions at The O2 to have a chance.

The second doubles semi-final in London will feature Granollers and Zeballos against US Open finalists Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic. The only player remaining who has lifted the doubles trophy at the season finale is Granollers, who was victorious in 2012 alongside Marc Lopez.
