Garcia-Lopez Reveals 'The Last Time'
Spaniard remembers a standout childhood moment and more
Playing this week at the Konzum Croatia Open Umag, Spaniard Guillermo Garcia-Lopez remembers ‘The Last Time’…
I cried watching a movie?
If I remember rightly it was 'Mar Adentro' - a Spanish film starring Javier Bardem.
I lost something important?
I don't usually lose things, I'm not easily distracted. But I did leave my iPad on an airplane. I tried to get it back but it was too late. I think it was a flight going from Spain to somewhere in Germany, not a long haul one. It was a few years ago.
I shared a hotel room with another player?
I don't usually share with other players. It was probably at the start of my career when I used to share a lot with Juan Carlos Ferrero.
I asked someone famous for an autograph or selfie?
Right now I can't remember exactly. I've probably asked Rafael Nadal for something this year.
I met a childhood idol?
I was very little. It was when Alberto Berasategui came to play a national tournament in Albacete. It was a very special moment in my childhood because he was my idol.
I went to a concert?
Last year I went to a Marc Anthony concert. It was in Valencia and I really enjoyed it, I like his songs. I like a lot salsa and similar musical styles. During tournaments I don't go to many concerts, because if you go it can distract you more than you realise, taking your focus away from the courts. I prefer not to go.
I cooked for myself and others?
Normally I don't cook, but occasionally I will. Most recently at Wimbledon a few weeks ago. We were in a house and I cooked for my team members that were in London: my coach, some friends, my physio and my agent.
