Nadal, Federer Face Tough Conditions In Roland Garros Semi-finals

Rain and wind hinder women's semi-finals

It's being billed as one of the greatest days of men's tennis in years, but Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Dominic Thiem may face brutal conditions on Friday at Roland Garros when they contest their semi-finals.

The women’s semi-finals, Ashleigh Barty versus Amanda Anisimova and Johanna Konta versus Marketa Vondrousova, earlier on Friday all dealt with cold, rain and wind gusts of more than 39 miles per hour in Paris during their matches.

Nadal, the 11-time champion, is set to face 2009 titlist Federer in the first match on Court Philippe Chatrier, followed by World No. 1 and 2016 winner Djokovic against last year’s runner-up Thiem.
