Heated stakes await in the coming weeks on the ATP Tour, featuring two ATP Masters 1000 events and a World No. 1 battle between Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz that could be decided at the US Open.
The North American hard-court swing continues with Alexander Zverev leading the field at the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers in Toronto, where main-draw action runs from 27 July-7 August.
Then Sinner and Alcaraz will return at the Cincinnati Open, which takes place 7-18 August. The hard-court swing continues at the Winston-Salem Open, an ATP 250 event from 17-23 August.
The past seven Grand Slam tournaments have been won by either Sinner or Alcaraz, and the fan favourites will look to continue that trend at the season’s final major, the US Open, 24 August-7 September. The top spot in the PIF ATP Rankings could also be up for contention for the first time this summer at Flushing Meadows. With Sinner returning as reigning champion, he will have 2,000 points to defend at the US Open while Alcaraz defends just 50.
