Daniil Medvedev has accepted a wild card into next week’s Winston-Salem Open, an ATP 250 event in North Carolina.
Medvedev, the No. 7 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, is set for his third appearance at the tournament and first since 2018, when he won the title without dropping a set.
The 30-year-old most recently competed at the Cincinnati Open, where he fell to Brandon Nakashima in the third round after letting slip three match points. Medvedev will now headline action in Winston-Salem, aiming to find his groove ahead of the US Open, where he lifted the crown in 2021.
The former World No. 1 has clinched two tour-level titles this season, having triumphed in Dubai and Brisbane, and owns a 31-13 record in 2026 according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index.
The main-draw action in Winston-Salem takes place from 23-29 August. Alongside Medvedev in the field are former World No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas, Luciano Darderi and Alejandro Tabilo.
