Play has resumed on the outside courts at the US Open on Wednesday, following a one-hour, 40-minute rain delay.
Rafael Jodar, the 12th seed, is in trouble on Stadium 17, trailing China’s Buyunchaokete by two sets to love. Alex de Minaur is also in action against Italian Andrea Guerrieri on Court 11.
Play continued under the roof on Arthur Ashe Stadium, where Ben Shelton defeated Pole Hubert Hurkacz. Carlos Alcaraz headlines the night session later on when he meets Jaime Faria. The action also continued on Louis Armstrong Stadium, where Frances Tiafoe later meets Rei Sakamoto.
