    • Started playing tennis at age 9.
    • Fiancee, Karin; daughters, Karolina and Olivia; father, Jaromir; mother, Olga.
    • As a kid, looked up to Pete Sampras.
    • Favourite surface is hard and tournament is ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati.
    • Retired in November 2013 due to back, spine and left leg injuries.
    • Enjoyed coaching and skiing during retirement, but still suffered pain.
    • After hitting with Mike Bryan in May 2018, returned in June 2018 and won Cincinnati title in August 2019.
    • "If you told me that 15 months later I’d be sitting here as an ATP Masters 1000 champion, I would have told you that you’re crazy," said Polasek. "I would never ever bet even a dollar on it."
    • Enjoys cooking. Favourite food is meat and cuisine is Italian.

    • Achieved career-high No. 7in doubles after advancing to 2020 Australian Open SF w/Dodig.
    • Returned to Melbourne and captured 2021 Australian Open title w/Dodig, becoming 1st Grand Slam men’s doubles or singles champion from Slovakia.
    • Alongside Dodig in 2019, reached final in team debut (Antalya), captured 1st ATP Masters 1000 title (Cincinnati), won 1st ATP 500 title (Beijing) and made Nitto ATP Finals debut.
    • Owns 17tour-level titles with 9 different partners, including 2021 ATP Masters 1000 Indian Wells w/Peers.
    • Retired in November 2013 due to back, spine and left leg injuries, then returned on ATP Challenger Tour in June 2018.
