A host of ATP Tour stars last week enjoyed successes on European clay to boost their respective positions in the PIF ATP Rankings.
Former Top-10 stars Stefanos Tsitsipas (at the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad) and Andrey Rublev (at the Nordea Open in Bastad) each lifted their first trophy of 2026, while Daniel Merida was a first-time ATP Tour champion at the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag. No. 51 Stefanos Tsitsipas, +34
The 27-year-old Tsitsipas has endured a difficult 12 months on Tour but showcased his willingness to dig deep to triumph at the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad. The former World No. 3 won four three-set matches to clinch the title, including against Raphael Collignon in the championship match, and Tsitsipas is back on the brink of the Top 50 in the PIF ATP Rankings after climbing 34 spots as a result.
No. 14 Andrey Rublev, +2
Rublev maintained his push for a Top-10 return in Bastad, where he lifted the Nordea Open trophy for the second time. The 28-year-old snapped 2025 champion Luciano Darderi’s unbeaten record at the ATP 250 tournament in the final and has consequently risen two spots to World No. 14. Rublev has the chance to climb as high as No. 11 this week, when he competes as the top seed at the Millennium Estoril Open.
No. 37 Raphael Collignon, +5 (Career High)
Despite the disappointment of championship-match defeat to Tsitsipas, Collignon can reflect on a breakthrough week in Gstaad. The 24-year-old Belgian powered to his first tour-level title match, defeating Lorenzo Sonego, third seed Valentin Vacherot and sixth seed Juan Manuel Cerundolo en route. Collignon has risen five spots to a career-high World No. 37 after his exploits in the Swiss Alps.
No. 59 Daniel Merida, +23 (Career High)
With his final triumph against Damir Dzumhur on Saturday night, Merida became the third-youngest champion this decade at the Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag after Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. The 21-year-old, who was competing in just his seventh tour-level event at the clay ATP 250 tournament, has risen 23 spots to a career-high World No. 59 after becoming the eighth first-time titlist of the 2026 season.
No. 87 Damir Dzumhur, +21
The 34-year-old Dzumhur fell just short of his fourth ATP Tour title in Umag, but he has nonetheless secured his return to the Top 100 after six weeks away. The Bosnian upset Roland Garros semi-finalist Matteo Arnaldi en route to the final on Croatia’s Adriatic coast.
