Arribage/Olivetti fend off Altmaier/Fonseca for Halle crown

Theo Arribage and Albano Olivetti continue to bolster their trophy cabinet in 2026. The French pair on Sunday completed its fourth ATP Tour title run of the season by overcoming singles stars Daniel Altmaier and Joao Fonseca at the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle.

Arribage and Olivetti prevailed 7-6(2), 6-4 in an 82-minute championship match at the German grass-court event. They did not face a break point in the match, according to Infosys ATP Stats, and dropped just six points on serve overall inside heristo-arena.

“We like this tournament, so I’m very happy to win this one with Theo,” Olivetti said. “It was such a great week for us. It’s always a great honour to come to play this prestigious tournament, so we have a really good feeling and we are really happy with the win today.”

After winning ATP 250 titles in Auckland in January and Montpellier in early February, Arribage and Olivetti lifted their maiden ATP 500 trophy in Dallas in late mid-February. They are only the second team this season to win four tour-level doubles titles after joint-No. 1s in the PIF ATP Doubles Rankings Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten.

“I think it’s unbelievable,” Arribage said. “Just before this tournament we had many tough moments. We lost many matches where we had match point and everything. I think it’s very deserved and we are happy with this one.

"We are very proud of [four titles]. But we want to continue and we have so many goals until the end of the year.”

Arribage and Olivetti, who lifted their first tour-level trophy in their first ATP Tour appearance together in Almaty last October, are now 28-13 for the season. Following their Halle triumph, the pair is up two spots to seventh in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings, keeping them well in contention for a debut appearance at the season-ending Nitto ATP Finals.
