Former ATP and WTA stars once again participated in the combined Member Alumni Golf event during the BNP Paribas Open, where former players hit the golf course and attended a cocktail reception at Toscana Country Club.
More than 60 former players attended the event, including Australian Rod Laver and four-time major winner Kim Clijsters.
After a cocktail reception and speeches from Nicolas Pereira and Ashley Kerber, 46 players participated in a golf competition at Palm Valley Country Club. There were 15 winners in total, with Laurie Warder shooting 69, the lowest score in the event’s history.
This is the seventh year that ATP members have gathered in Indian Wells for the event and the second year that they have teamed up with WTA. All attendees received Waterdrop bottles during the award ceremony, which was led by Tracy Dalatte and Robin Archibald.
WTA legend Rosie Casals said: "It was not only great to participate in the ATP/WTA golf event but nice to have my name on the trophies with Ken Flach. It’s nice to see past men and women players and having a chance to catch up. The icing on the cake was winning the closet to the pin when it was a whopping 11 feet. Nonetheless a win is a win!”
