The 2025 Australian Open heats up on Friday, when record 10-time champion Novak Djokovic and top seed Jannik Sinner will be among those in semi-final action in Melbourne.
Djokovic, seeking a record-extending 11th Australian Open and 25th Grand Slam title, will continue his quest against World No. 2 Alexander Zverev on Friday. Their semi-final clash will be the day session match on Rod Laver Arena. Despite physical struggles in his quarter-final victory over Carlos Alcaraz, Djokovic will look to his 8-4 Lexus ATP Head2Head lead over Zverev as a boost heading into Friday's match.
The night session match on Rod Laver Arena will feature No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings and defending champion Sinner, who takes on explosive American Ben Shelton. The Italian leads their Lexus ATP Head2Head series 4-1, having not dropped a set in each of their previous four meetings. Shelton will aim to halt Sinner's 19-match win streak at the hard-court majors, during which he won his first two Grand Slam tournaments at the Australian Open and US Open in 2024.
The men's singles final will take place on Sunday, while the men's doubles championship match between Simone Bolelli/Andrea Vavassori and Harri Heliovaara/Henry Patten will be played on Saturday.
