Carlos Alcaraz and Holger Rune are set to compete in the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell final, which will take place Sunday at 4 p.m. CEST/10 a.m. ET.
The Spaniard leads Rune 2-1 in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series, but their title tilt in Barcelona will mark a first meeting on clay.
Alcaraz is eyeing his third Barcelona crown in four years, having won back-to-back titles in 2022-23. Rune, who rose four spots to No. 9 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings with his semi-final win, will compete in his first tour-level final on clay since the ATP Masters 1000 in Rome in 2023. He is aiming for his first trophy this season.
