Play at the Cincinnati Open has resumed after an approximately 45-minute Tuesday rain delay at the ATP Masters 1000 event, where Francisco Comesana returned to court to complete a nailbiting third-round victory.
Comesana saved three match points — one before the rain delay and two after — when serving at 5-4 in the deciding set against Reilly Opelka. Home favourite Opelka then called a medical timeout before Comesana went on to complete a 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-5 comeback triumph.
