Borna Coric continued his resurgence on the ATP Challenger Tour Sunday, when he captured a season-leading fourth title at that level.
The Croatian overcame former World No. 3 Stan Wawrinka 6-7(5), 6-3, 7-6(4) and a series of rain delays to win the Open Aix Provence Crédit Agricole after a thrilling three-hour, 11-minute final.
"I'm happy to start to play better tennis in the past couple months," said Coric, who is up to No. 84 in the PIF ATP Rankings. "I've been working hard, that's the most important thing for me and to stay healthy."

Coric, 28, holds a 22-3 season record at ATP Challenger level. He won three consecutive titles spanning from February to March and held a 16-match winning streak, which was ended by Wawrinka at the Naples Challenger. Five weeks on from that defeat, Coric outlasted the 40-year-old for just his second win against the Swiss in their six meetings at all levels.
Wawrinka was bidding to become the oldest Challenger champion in history.
Michelsen wins first clay-court title with dominant week in Estoril
American Alex Michelsen celebrated a milestone moment at the Millennium Estoril Open. The 20-year-old captured his first clay-court title and third Challenger triumph at the Portuguese event, where he did not drop a set all week.
Michelsen, now tied at his career-high No. 32 in the PIF ATP Rankings, defeated Italian qualifier Andrea Pellegrino 6-4, 6-4 in the championship match.
"My mindset has gotten better on clay since last year. I was kind of dreading it, but now I'm enjoying it," Michelsen said. "I got here super early because I lost first round in Madrid, so I probably had five, six days of preparation before I played, so I had really good preparation this week."
