Nations competing in the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers 2nd Round have announced their squads, with Top 10 stars Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Alex de Minaur and Holger Rune all looking to guide their teams into the 2025 Davis Cup Final 8 in November.

Alcaraz and Rune are set to face off in a blockbuster clash between Spain and Denmark in Marbella, while De Minaur leads an Australian team which takes on Belgium in Sydney.

Fritz and Shelton are joined in the American squad by Tommy Paul and Frances Tiafoe, with all four men ranked inside the Top 20 of the PIF ATP Rankings. USA will play against a Czechia team that is also at full strength, including Miami champion Jakub Mensik, Jiri Lehecka and Tomas Machac.

Among the other players selected for their nations are: Zizou Bergs (Belgium), Francisco Cerundolo (Argentina), Marin Cilic (Croatia), Borna Coric (Croatia), Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (Spain), Ugo Humbert (France), Kei Nishikori (Japan) and Alexei Popyrin (Australia).

Five ties will take place on 12-13 September. Australia’s clash with Belgium and Spain’s match-up with Denmark will be played on 13-14 September.

Ties will be played as best-of-five matches, with two singles matches on day one, followed by the doubles match and the two reverse singles matches on day two. All matches are played as best-of-three tie-break sets.

The seven winning nations in the Qualifiers 2nd Round will join last year’s world champions Italy at the 2025 Davis Cup Final 8 in Bologna, held from 18-23 November. The seven losing nations will compete in the 2026 Qualifiers 1st Round.

Furthermore, 26 home-and-away Davis Cup ties are also taking place in September, with 13 ties in the World Group I and 13 ties in the World Group II. Team announcements for the World Group I and World Group II ties will be made on Tuesday 2 September.
