Rain postponed Tuesday's highly anticipated opening-round match between Alex de Minaur and Stefanos Tsitsipas in Washington.
The top seed and defending champion De Minaur was set to headline Tuesday’s night session against Tsitsipas, a former World No. 3 in the PIF ATP Rankings, but stormy skies in Washington forced the match to be postponed to Wednesday.
Tsitsipas owns a 12-1 Lexus ATP Head2Head advantage over the Australian and is coming off the biggest triumph of his 2026 season, winning his first title of the year at the ATP 250 event in Gstaad.
The winner of the De Minaur-Tsitsipas match will face 17-year-old Cruz Hewitt, who recorded his first ATP Tour win by defeating Marcos Giron earlier on Tuesday.
