
Novak Djokovic will compete at the Gonet Geneva Open next week after receiving a wild card, the tournament announced Friday.
The No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings will make his debut at the ATP 250 clay-court event in Geneva. He arrives holding a 12-5 record for the season.
The 36-year-old lost to Alejandro Tabilo in the third round at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Rome last week. Djokovic’s best result this season is a semi-final run at the Australian Open.
Djokovic, who has 1,099 tour-level wins, will chase his 99th tour-level title. Casper Ruud, Taylor Fritz and Andy Murray will also compete in the Gonet Geneva Open, which begins Sunday.
