Persistent rain prevented any play from taking place Tuesday at the Millennium Estoril Open.
All 11 of the scheduled matches across the singles and doubles draws had to be postponed at the clay-court ATP 250 in southern Portugal. The nine first-round singles matches still to be completed will now be scheduled for Wednesday.
Among those still competing for a second-round spot in Estoril are Jurij Rodionov and Cristian Garin. Chile’s Garin, a former No. 17 in the PIF ATP Rankings, leads Austrian Rodionov 7-6(3), 4-5 from Monday evening.
Seventh seed Gael Monfils will play home wild card Henrique Rocha, whose fellow #NextGenATP stars Arthur Fils and Joao Fonseca will also be in action. Fils will take on home favourite and 2018 Joao Sousa, who is competing in the final tournament of his career. Brazilian Fonseca, a quarter-finalist in Rio de Janeiro in February, will play Jan Choinski in the opening match of the day on stadium court.
