Could Joao Fonseca earn two ATP Challenger Tour 175 titles in one season?
The Brazilian teenager and fellow #NextGenATP star Learner Tien are among the players entered in the Millennium Estoril Open, an ATP Challenger Tour 175 event that runs from 29 April - 4 May.
Introduced in 2023, the Challenger 175 category tournaments are held during the second week of select ATP Masters 1000 events. Fonseca won this season's first Challenger 175 event, the Arizona Tennis Classic in Phoenix.
Players who exit early from Madrid could appear in Estoril, Portugal or in Aix-en-Provence, France, where World No. 27 Alexei Popyrin is the highest-ranked player entered.

While Fonseca and Tien are the teenage talents that are entered in Portugal, American Alex Michelsen spearheads the field as the No. 37 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, one of 10 Top 50 players entered across both events.
Other Top 50 players on the Estoril list include home favourite Nuno Borges, Marcos Giron, Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Miomir Kecmanovic and Jan-Lennard Struff. Former No. 4 Kei Nishikori is also set to appear.
The Aix-en-Provence entry list is highlighted by Popyrin, last year’s champion Alejandro Tabilo, Lorenzo Sonego and Luciano Darderi, who won his second tour-level title last week in Marrakech.
