Roger Federer recently returned to the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca to visit the newly renovated Rafa Nadal Museum, Inside the Legend, which offers an immersive look at Nadal's life, career and legacy.
The ATP No. 1 Club Member Federer toured the museum alongside Sebastian Nadal, Rafa Nadal Academy Tennis Director Gustavo Marcaccio and Rafa Nadal Museum Manager Gonzalo Perez.
Federer spent time exploring the exhibition, including a section dedicated to the Big 3 that celebrates the shared legacy of Federer, Nadal and Novak Djokovic through personal memorabilia, statistics and exclusive audiovisual content reflecting on one of the greatest rivalries in sport.
"It's wonderful to see everything," Federer said after the visit. "It's beautiful. There's an incredible amount of work behind it, but above all, it's very emotional."
Federer, who attended the Academy's official inauguration in 2016 and previously visited the original museum, praised the transformation of the space.
"I remember what it was like at the beginning, but now it's truly spectacular," Federer said. "It's a very special place. Congratulations to the whole team... you've done a fantastic job."
Opened earlier this year, Inside the Legend takes visitors through Nadal's journey from his childhood in Mallorca to his 22 major titles, 36 ATP Masters 1000 crowns and beyond. The experience combines immersive audiovisual installations, original memorabilia and interactive exhibits, while also exploring the values that shaped Nadal's career.
Federer and Nadal forged one of the most historic rivalries in the sport between 2004 and 2019, with a total of 40 Lexus ATP Head2Head encounters on some of the game’s biggest stages. Nadal earned victory in 24 of those matches.
