Arthur Fils has the chance to extend his personal-best season to the Nitto ATP Finals when he competes in front of his home crowd this week at the Rolex Paris Masters.
The 22-year-old Frenchman enters the indoor ATP Masters 1000 event in the French capital sitting in seventh place in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin. With the Live Race set to end after Paris, Fils knows a strong showing on home soil should be enough to secure his debut Nitto ATP Finals appearance, while Flavio Cobolli, Frances Tiafoe and Rafael Jodar are also in contention for their first qualification.
ATPTour.com looks at the movers of the week in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin as of Monday 2 November.
Arthur Fils – Seventh (3,535 points)
Fils defeated his good friend Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and Alex Michelsen last week at the Swiss Indoors Basel, before he retired from his quarter-final clash against Taylor Fritz due to a back injury. The Frenchman nonetheless confirmed in a press conference Sunday at the Rolex Paris Masters that he is fit to compete at the final ATP Masters 1000 event of the year.
Currently 341 points inside the cutoff for Nitto ATP Finals qualification, Fils is in a good position to secure his debut appearance at the prestigious season finale in Turin. He will take on his countryman Kyrian Jacquet or Tomas Machac in his opening round at Paris' Plenitude Arena.

Rafael Jodar – Ninth (3,194 points)
The 20-year-old Jodar defeated Alejandro Tabilo in straight sets in Basel before falling to eventual champion Valentin Vacherot. Despite his relatively early exit at the indoor ATP 500, the Spaniard has today broken the Top 10 of the PIF ATP Rankings: Having spent just 287 days between making his tour-level debut in January and rising to World No. 10, Jodar has comfortably surpassed the previous mark for the shortest time between the two feats.
Jodar will aim to add one more notable achievement to his remarkable debut season this week in Paris. He enters the week just inside the Nitto ATP Finals qualification cutoff, and will begin his title bid in the French capital with a rematch against Tabilo.
Alex de Minaur – 10th (3,170 points)
Chasing his third consecutive Nitto ATP Finals appearance, De Minaur showcased plenty of his trademark grit to battle to the championship match at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna. The 27-year-old Australian defeated Learner Tien, Matteo Berrettini and World No. 1-bound Alexander Zverev before falling to Carlos Alcaraz in the final.
The Live Race Reaches Its Climax In Paris
With four spots at the Nitto ATP Finals remaining still to be filled, there is plenty to play for this week in Paris. As well as Fils and Jodar, sixth-placed Flavio Coblli and eighth-placed Frances Tiafoe are chasing a debut qualification, with De Minaur hot on their heels.
Meanwhile, just behind the Australian in 11th lies Novak Djokovic. The Serbian is a record seven-time Rolex Paris Masters champion and is chasing a record 19th qualification for the Nitto ATP Finals, where he is also a record seven-time titlist. Could the Serbian’s experience prove key as the run-in reaches its climax?
Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Ben Shelton and Daniil Medvedev, who will all also be in action in Paris, are the players to have already qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals. The season finale will take place from 15-22 November at Inalpi Arena in Turin.
