The 22-year-old has risen one spot to seventh in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin, with just two weeks of action to go before the final Turin field is set. Meanwhile, Daniil Medvedev also moved a step closer to qualification with his title run at the Almaty Open.

Arthur Fils – Seventh (3,425 points), +1
Fils dug deep to close out a quarter-final victory against Alex Michelsen in Brussels and reach the semi-finals at the indoor ATP 250 event. Although Jan-Lennard Struff then sprung a surprise on him in the last four, the Frenchman has risen above Frances Tiafoe into seventh in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin. Fils now has the chance to further boost his chances of securing a Nitto ATP Finals debut when he competes this week at the Swiss Indoors Basel.

Daniil Medvedev – Fifth (3,660 points), +1
Medvedev has gone from strength to strength in recent weeks in his bid to secure a Nitto ATP Finals return. The former World No. 1, who competed at the prestigious season finale every year from 2019 to 2024, is up to fifth in the Live Race after successfully defending his title at the Almaty Open. Medvedev is 20 points clear of sixth-placed Flavio Cobolli, with both players in the draw this week at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna.

Taylor Fritz – 12th (2,685 points), +1
Fritz notably defeated his good friend and Live Race rival Tommy Paul in the Grand Prix Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes quarter-finals, where he went on to reach the championship match. The American fell to Lorenzo Musetti in the final at the ATP 250 in Lyon, but he has nonetheless laid the foundations for a potential late charge to the Nitto ATP Finals. Fritz is 474 points behind ninth-placed Rafael Jodar, who occupies the final qualification spot.

Big Week Ahead In Basel & Vienna:
With the exception of second-placed Jannik Sinner, who has ended his season due to injury, all of the top 14 players in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin are in ATP 500 action this week. As well as Medvedev and Cobolli, the Vienna field also includes Nitto ATP Finals hopefuls Tiafoe, Alex de Minaur, Paul and Mensik. In Basel, Jodar and Novak Djokovic join Fils and Fritz in the draw.

Alexander Zverev (Vienna), Carlos Alcaraz (Vienna) and Ben Shelton (Basel) will also be in action. All three have already qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals, which will take place from 15-22 November at Inalpi Arena in Turin.
