Rain forced an early end to play for two second-round matches at the EFG Swiss Open Gstaad on Thursday.
Alexander Bublik and Quentin Halys were locked in a close battle on Roy Emerson Arena before rain interrupted play with Halys serving to stay in the match at 5-6 in the third set. Bublik, the No. 11 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, is looking to defend his 2025 title at the ATP 250 event.
On Court 1, home hope Dominic Stricker led 4-3 against Aleksandr Shevchenko in the opening set before the rain arrived. This is the pair’s first Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting.
Both matches cancelled Thursday will be resumed Friday.
