Damir Dzumhur turned a moment of potential chaos into pure highlight-reel magic at last month’s Plava Laguna Croatia Open Umag, claiming July’s Hot Shot of the Month award in spectacular style.
In his quarter-final clash against Titouan Droguet, the Bosnian star found himself in a split-second scramble at the net. After carving a delicate backhand slice, Dzumhur watched as Droguet unleashed a daring ‘tweener from deep in the court, which kissed the net cord and sharply changed direction. But with incredible reflexes and a lightning grip adjustment, Dzumhur pounced and landed a clean winner.
