The third clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event of the season begins on Wednesday at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome, where Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic and Alexander Zverev are among the stars in action in the Italian capital.

Home favourite and No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings Sinner is the top seed in Rome, where he is bidding to complete the Career Golden Masters (winning all nine Masters 1000 events) as well as claim a record-extending sixth consecutive ATP Masters 1000 title after his recent triumphs in Paris, Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo and Madrid. Sinner will open his campaign against Alex Michelsen or Sebastian Ofner.
Djokovic is a six-time champion in Rome and owns a 68-12 tournament record, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index. The third-seeded Zverev has lifted the trophy in Rome twice, including for his maiden Masters 1000 title in 2017.
The 2023 champion Daniil Medvedev joins Djokovic and Zverev as the third and final past winner in the draw. As well as Sinner, three other Italians will compete as seeds in the men's singles: eighth seed Lorenzo Musetti, 10th seed Flavio Cobolli and 18th seed Luciano Darderi.
