Not only did Hubert Hurkacz fend off two tweeners in one point at last month’s Chengdu Open, but he capped it with a slick overhead winner to claim September’s Hot Shot of the Month presented by Yokohama award.
Facing Lloyd Harris at the ATP 250 event in China, the Pole showcased his impressive reflexes to keep the point alive before finishing in style with a delicate slice forehand overhead that skimmed just millimetres over the net, leaving his opponent stranded.
The former No. 6 player in the PIF ATP Rankings earned the fan-voted honour ahead of fellow nominees Novak Djokovic, Arthur Fils and Daniil Medvedev.
Hurkacz joins Alexander Zverev, Lorenzo Musetti, Casper Ruud and Joao Fonseca among the 2026 winners of the Hot Shot of the Month award. Stay tuned throughout October to see which spectacular shots make the next shortlist.
