Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz, the 2024 Nitto ATP Finals champions, will return to the season finale for the third consecutive year.
The Germans became the sixth doubles team to qualify for the year-end championships on Tuesday when they reached the second round of the Rolex Paris Masters.
Two years ago, Krawietz and Puetz enjoyed a memorable run at Inalpi Arena, defeating Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic twice en route to the trophy. They own a 5-3 Nitto ATP Finals record as a team.
Krawietz has competed in the event with three different partners — Andreas Mies, Horia Tecau and Puetz — while Puetz has only played in it with Krawietz.
The veteran team won an ATP Masters 1000 title for the second consecutive year, triumphing in Monte-Carlo. They also emerged victorious on home soil in Hamburg.
The Germans also advanced to the championship match at the US Open, where they fell to fellow qualifiers Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski. In the semi-finals, they defeated Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury, which proved the final match of Ram and Salisbury’s careers.
The other teams that have qualified for the Nitto ATP Finals, to be held from 15-22 November, are Harri Heliovaara/Henry Patten, Harrison/Skupski, Marcel Granollers/Horacio Zeballos, Marcelo Arevalo/Mate Pavic and Simone Bolelli/Andrea Vavassori.
