Ryan Seggerman and Patrik Trhac won their first ATP Tour title on Saturday evening in Los Cabos at the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo.
After advancing to the final without losing a set, the Americans clawed past Finn Reynolds and James Watt 7-6(4), 6-7(5), 10-8 for the trophy. The Kiwis, Reynolds and Watt, were also trying to claim their first tour-level crown.
Seggerman and Trhac have done plenty of winning together over the years, earning 10 ATP Challenger titles as a team, including six in 2024. But this was their first opportunity as a pair to claim glory on the ATP Tour.
“It was a real pleasure to share the court again. He and I, we played a lot of matches a few years ago at the start of our careers together and we kind of split apart for the last year and a half or so, and this is our first tournament back together,” Seggerman said. “It’s a real pleasure to play with someone I’ve known for such a long time. And just a special week capturing our first title and against two really great opponents.”
The champions saved all five break points they won in the match to overcome their opponents, who won seven more total points in the final (88-81), according to Infosys ATP Stats.
Seggerman and Trhac became the second all-American team to triumph in Los Cabos, joining Robert Cash and JJ Tracy, who won the ATP 250 tournament in 2025.
“It’s a great tournament,” Trhac said. “Thanks to everybody for coming out.”
