Tommy Paul, who is two wins from claiming his first ATP Masters 1000 title in Rome, has an A-list celebrity in his corner.
Actor Matthew McConaughey shared his support for the No. 14 player in the PIF ATP Live Rankings after Paul defeated Hubert Hurkacz to reach the semi-finals of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia.
“Looks like the early year @TommyPaul1 train is back on track after it was interrupted by the ankle,” McConaughey posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Looking good TP. Roll.”

McConaughey has 9.7 million Instagram followers, but only follows 111 accounts. Of those 111, two belong to tennis players: Novak Djokovic and Paul.
Last year, McConaughey was in Djokovic’s box for the US Open final and celebrated with the Serbian when he climbed into the crowd following his victory.
Paul will play Chilean Nicolas Jarry on Friday in the Rome semi-finals. The American is trying to reach his first Masters 1000 final.
