Lucas Miedler and Neil Oberleitner continued their impressive end-of-season form on Sunday at the Erste Bank Open in Vienna, where they captured their second title in three tournaments.
The Austrians delighted their home crowd with a 6-1, 7-5 victory over Ryan Seggerman and singles standout Learner Tien in the final of the ATP 500 event.
Miedler and Oberleitner have now won 12 of their past 13 matches, according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, having become the first all-Austrian team to lift an ATP Masters 1000 trophy in Shanghai before reaching the final in Almaty.
The trophy marks the 15th tour-level doubles title of Miedler’s career and his third in Vienna, following previous victories in 2022 and 2024 alongside Alexander Erler. For Oberleitner, it is his third tour-level crown, with all three titles coming in 2026.
“Obviously it means everything,” Oberleitner said. “It’s something special, winning in front of a home crowd. Lucas knows the feeling already, but for me it is the first time and I really enjoyed it.”
Miedler added: “As Neil said, very special always to win at home. I’m lucky enough to already experience this three times already. It’s the first time for Neil. It’s always special, and I am just happy.”
