Ben Shelton and Brandon Nakashima will meet for the trophy at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montreal on Thursday. It will be the 15th all-American ATP Masters 1000 final in series history, but the first since Cincinnati in 2003, when Andy Roddick beat Mardy Fish.
Shelton, who leads Nakashima 5-0 in the pair's Lexus ATP Head2Head series, is trying to successfully defend his title in Canada and clinch his second Masters 1000 crown, while Nakashima is playing in his first final at the level.
Thursday's champion will also depart Montreal with a significant payday. The winner will claim $1,151,420, while the runner-up will earn $612,340.
