Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton are set for an interesting BMW Open by Bitpanda final, which will take place Sunday not before 1:30 p.m. CEST/ 7:30 a.m. ET.
The German leads Shelton 1-0 in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series. He won their sole encounter in the quarter-finals of the Cincinnati Open last year.
The No. 3 in the PIF ATP Rankings, Zverev is aiming for his third Munich crown, having won back-to-back titles in 2017-18. With his semi-final win against Francisco Cerundolo, Shelton became the first American man to reach a clay final above ATP 250 level since Andre Agassi won the 2002 ATP Masters 1000 in Rome. Both players are chasing their first title of the season.
