Wednesday’s play at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome has resumed at 2:15 p.m. CEST following a one-hour rain delay.
Six first-round matches are in progress again at the ATP Masters 1000 event after showers halted play at approximately 1:15 p.m. CEST.
Francisco Comesana defeated Daniel Altmaier 6-1, 7-5 to set a second-round meeting with No. 10 in the PIF ATP Rankings, Holger Rune. This was the only match to be completed before the rain.
Italians Lorenzo Sonego, Luciano Darderi and Francesco Passaro are all due to play on Wednesday.
