Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori reached the Internazionali BNL D'Italia final in Rome for the first time together on Saturday, when they battled past fourth seeds Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski 7-6(9), 3-6, 10-6 in two hours and four minutes.
The Italians saved one set point in the first set and then increased their level and aggression in the Match Tie-break to become the first home team to reach the championship match in Rome in the Open Era (since 1969).
Bolelli and Vavassori are chasing their second ATP Masters 1000 title together this year, having defeated Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten in the final in Miami in March. They will face 2024 and 2020 champions Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos in Sunday's final.
The Spanish-Argentine team beat Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic 6-7(10), 7-5, 10-2. Second seeds Granollers and Zeballos are seeking their first trophy on the year.
Bolelli/Vavassori advance to Rome SFs
Italians Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori advanced to the semi-finals on home soil at the Internazionali BNL D'Italia in Rome, where they overcame top seeds Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten 7-5, 7-6(4) on Friday.
Bolelli and Vavassori are chasing their second ATP Masters 1000 title together this year, having defeated Heliovaara and Patten in the final in Miami in March. The seventh seeds saved one set point in the second set before they eventually sealed victory on their fourth match point after one hour and 49 minutes.
The Italians lost in the semi-finals in Rome in 2024 but will hope history does not repeat itself when they meet Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski in the last four. Fourth seeds Harrison and Skupski defeated Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic 6-4, 6-4 in one hour and 10 minutes to advance to the semi-finals.

Granollers/Zeballos reach Rome SFs
Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos continued their quest for a third Internazionali BNL D'Italia crown on Thursday afternoon.
The second seeds, who triumphed together in Rome in 2020 and 2024, eased past Frenchman Sadio Doumbia and Fabien Reboul 6-2, 6-3 in 73 minutes to reach the semi-finals. The Spanish-Argentine duo is this week chasing its first title of the season in the Italian capital.
Granollers and Zeballos will next face Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic. Krajicek and Mektic booked their semi-final spot by defeating Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler 6-4, 7-5 in one hour and 24 minutes.

Krajicek/Mektic hold firm in nervy three-setter, reach Rome QFs
Austin Krajicek and Nikola Mektic held their nerve to cross the line for a big victory on Wednesday at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome.
The American-Croatian duo edged Robert Cash and JJ Tracy 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 to reach the quarter-finals at the clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event. Krajicek and Mektic will next meet Austrians Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler.
Krajicek and Mektic are chasing their second title of 2026. They triumphed at the ATP 250 in Delray Beach in February and, with their run to the last eight in Rome, they are up six spots to 17th in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings.

Arevalo/Pavic roll into Rome QFs
Defending champions Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic continued their march toward a second consecutive title at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome on Tuesday afternoon.
The fifth seeds overcame Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 7-5, 6-3 to return to the quarter-finals at the ATP Masters 1000 event. Arevalo and Pavic, who are chasing their first title of 2026, will next face reigning Australian Open champions Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski next in Rome.
Fourth seeds Harrison and Skupski battled past Jakob Schnaitter and Mark Wallner 6-4, 5-7, 11-9. Second seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos also booked their spot in the quarter-finals on Tuesday, when they raced past Robert Galloway and Santiago Gonzalez 6-2, 6-2.

Arevalo/Pavic open Rome title defence in style vs. Melo/Zverev
Defending champions Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic made a statement start to their title defence on Monday at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia.
The fifth seeds needed just 72 minutes to defeat Marcelo Melo and Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-3 in the first round of the clay-court ATP Masters 1000 event. Arevalo and Pavic, who triumphed in Rome 12 months ago, are aiming to win their first title of 2026 and are up to fourth in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Teams Rankings.
Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski also opened their campaign in the Italian capital on Monday. The fourth seeds defeated Brazilians Rafael Matos and Orlando Luz 7-5, 6-3.

Granollers/Zeballos save 1 MP, edge home wild cards in Rome opener
Marcelo Granollers and Horacio Zeballos were pushed to the limit Sunday at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia, but the second seeds ultimately held firm to ignite their bid for a third crown at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Rome.
The Spanish-Argentine duo saved one match point to overcome Italian wild cards Gianluca Cadenasso and Jacopo Vasami 6-7(6), 6-3, 12-10 in the first round. Granollers and Zeballos, who triumphed together in Rome in 2020 and 2024, will next meet Robert Galloway and Santiago Gonzalez, who also advanced Sunday.
In other first-round doubles action, reigning Monte-Carlo champions Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz eased past Italian singles stars Flavio Cobolli and Lorenzo Sonego 6-3, 6-2. Eighth seeds Francisco Cabral and Joe Salisbury defeated Adam Pavlasek and Patrik Rikl 6-4, 6-4.
