Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are set to headline action at the Cincinnati Open in their return to the ATP Tour. After their Wimbledon runs, the top two players in the PIF ATP Rankings will begin their campaigns in the second round of the Masters 1000 event in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Sinner is scheduled to play his first match on Saturday, August 9, when all the top half matches will be played. He will open against qualifier Daniel Elahi Galan or Vit Kopriva. Alcaraz will compete on Sunday, August 10, when all the bottom half matches will be played. He will face Mattia Bellucci or Damir Dzumhur.
The Cincinnati Open, which runs from 7 to 18 August 2025, will mark their next appearance after their clash in the Wimbledon final, where Sinner defeated Alcaraz in four sets. The Italian improved to 5-8 in the pair’s Lexus ATP Head2Head series with the win.
Sinner is the defending champion in Cincinnati. He defeated home favourite Frances Tiafoe in straight sets in the final last year. Alcaraz, who holds a 48-6 record on the season according to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, will be chasing his first trophy at the event.
