The Internazionali BNL D'Italia semi-final match between Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev, which was suspended in the third set Friday night due to rain, is scheduled to resume on Saturday at 3 p.m. CEST in the Italian capital.
The match between Sinner and Medvedev started Friday evening, with the players splitting the first two sets. Sinner led 6-2, 5-7, 4-2, with Medvedev serving at AD/40, when the rain intensified. Play was ultimately cancelled for the evening.
The winner will face Casper Ruud in Sunday's final. Ruud eased past home favourite Luciano Darderi 6-1, 6-1 in the first semi-final on Friday.
Sinner will return to the court Saturday, needing just two games to reach his second consecutive championship match at the ATP Masters 1000 event. The World No. 1 is this week trying to complete the Career Golden Masters and win a sixth consecutive Masters 1000 title.
Medvedev is aiming to win his second title in Rome, having triumphed in the Italian capital in 2023.
