Editor's Note: Story updated 9 May, following the release of the Saturday schedule.

The Internazionali BNL d'Italia has announced that Jannik Sinner will play his first match of the tournament on Saturday not before 7 p.m. CEST/1 p.m. EDT.

The World No. 1 in the PIF ATP Rankings has a bye in the first round. He will take on Argentine Mariano Navone in the second round. It will be a first-time Lexus ATP Head2Head showdown regardless of opponent.

The match will be Sinner's first since winning the Australian Open. The 23-year-old is returning after completing a three-month period of ineligibility in a case resolution agreement with WADA.

It All Adds Up

According to the Infosys ATP Win/Loss Index, Sinner owns a 9-5 record in Rome. He is a four-time ATP Masters 1000 champion.

The first seeded opponent Sinner could face is 25th seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Sixth seed Casper Ruud, the Madrid champion, is a potential quarter-final opponent for the Italian.
