Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz will take on Jiri Lehecka at the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships on Tuesday, with the trophy on the line.
Alcaraz, who won the tournament on his debut last year, is aiming to become the first man to defend his Tokyo title since Pete Sampras in 1993-94. Lehecka, who earlier this season reached the final at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami, is going for his first tour-level trophy of the season and third overall.
The Tokyo final between top seed Alcaraz and Lehecka will begin not before 6 p.m. local time / 5 a.m. ET / 10 a.m. BST on Tuesday.
The No. 3 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, Alcaraz leads Lehecka 3-1 in their Lexus ATP Head2Head series, having won their most recent meeting at the US Open last year.
