Stefanos Tsitsipas and Fabian Marozsan will both face a nervy sleep on Tuesday night after their first-round clash at the BMW Open by Bitpanda in Munich was suspended due to darkness.

Tsitsipas took the opening set 6-3 before Marozsan struck back to win the second 7-6(5), and the players were locked at 2-2 in the deciding set when the ATP 500 match was suspended.

Having won their only prior meeting in Cincinnati last year, Tsitsipas will be hoping to improve to 2-0 in his Lexus ATP Head2Head meeting when the players return to court on Wednesday. The winner will face Denis Shapovalov, who earlier ousted Tallon Griekspoor 6-4, 3-6, 6-2.
