
The US Open’s revamped mixed doubles event is set to bring a star-studded lineup to the final major of the 2025 season.
Held on 19-20 August, the tournament will feature stars including Jannik Sinner (with Katerina Siniakova), Carlos Alcaraz (with Emma Raducanu) and Novak Djokovic (with Olga Danilovic).
Here’s everything you need to know about the mixed doubles event.
The mixed doubles event at the US Open takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday of qualifying week (19-20 August) on both Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium. The first and second rounds will be played on Tuesday, while the semi-finals and final take place on Wednesday.
The event will feature 16 teams: the top eight teams with the best combined singles rankings and eight wild cards. Here is the lineup:

Unlike previous years, matches will consist of best-of-three sets up to four games. Sudden-death Deuce will be played at 40/40 and a Match Tie-break to 10 points features instead of a third set. In the final, sets will be played to six games instead of four.

Sara Errani and Andrea Vavassori won the 2024 US Open mixed doubles title by defeating Taylor Townsend and Donald Young 7-6(0), 7-5 in the final. Errani and Vavassori became the third Italian duo to win a major title in mixed doubles and first since 1986.
