Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are the top two seeds in the men’s singles draw at the US Open, which runs from 24 August - 7 September.
Defending champion and No. 1 player in the PIF ATP Rankings, Sinner is chasing his third major title of the season and could only meet fierce rival Alcaraz in the championship match. The two stars have shared the past seven major titles, beginning at last year’s Australian Open, and Alcaraz leads their Lexus ATP Head2Head series 9-5.
The 2020 US Open finalist, Alexander Zverev is the third seed, while home favourite Taylor Fritz, who reached his first major final at Flushing Meadows last year, is seeded fourth. Sinner is projected to meet fifth seed and last year’s semi-finalist Jack Draper in the quarter-finals.
Ben Shelton, Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur are the sixth, seventh, and eighth seeds, respectively.
