Ignacio Buse will aim for a double prize Sunday at the Uruguay Open in Montevideo. The 21-year-old is aiming for his third ATP Challenger Tour title of the season and should he win the final, Buse will crack the Top 100 in Monday's PIF ATP Rankings.
At No. 105 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings, Buse will face former No. 17 Cristian Garin in the Challenger 100 championship match. Buse, seeded seventh, beat Argentine Roman Andres Burruchaga 6-2, 7-5 in the semi-finals while Garin rallied past fellow Chilean Tomas Barrios Vera 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
Buse would rise to World No. 92 with a win and become the sixth Peruvian to crack the Top 100 in PIF ATP Rankings history. Garin is seeking to add his name to the list of five players who have claimed a season-leading four Challenger trophies.
