Italian F1 driver Kimi Antonelli enjoyed a special moment away from Formula 1 last week when he met ATP No. 1 Club member Roger Federer at Wimbledon. The pair sat together in the Royal Box at the All England Club, taking in the action on Centre Court.
The experience proved to be more than just a chance to watch world-class tennis. In a video posted by Formula 1 on Instagram, Antonelli later revealed the advice that the 20-time Grand Slam champion gave the 19-year-old Italian.
"It was great," Antonelli shared. "[We talked] about pressure. He told me to really focus on one race at a time. Just focus on what you can control.
"Also, control the emotions, especially the ones that can make mistakes. That was the main advice from Roger."
Antonelli will now hope to put the 103-time tour-level champion's advice into practice as he looks to extend his lead in the Formula 1 drivers' championship and continue his charge toward a maiden world title.
