Fils visits Christ the Redeemer, Norrie enjoys Carnaval in Rio de Janeiro

Arthur Fils and Cameron Norrie are among the stars who have taken in the full Rio de Janeiro experience ahead of the Rio Open presented by Claro.

Fils visited the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, which overlooks the city and is recognised throughout the world.

“I’m really, really happy about it and it’s looking amazing,” Fils said. “Such a nice thing and such a nice view as well. I’m really proud and the tournament is very kind and very nice to [have] me come here. Thanks to them also.”

Norrie followed in the footsteps of Rafael Nadal when he took in the Carnaval celebrations.

“So impressive,” Norrie said. “First time here seeing the Carnaval and I didn’t know what to expect, but unbelievable.”
