Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram continued to ease through the Australian Open draw on Saturday when they dispatched Australians Tristan Schoolkate and Adam Walton 6-2, 6-4 to reach the third round.

The Americans are teaming together for the first time at a major and looked comfortable against the Australians, not facing a break point according to Infosys Stats. Ram triumphed in Melbourne alongside Joe Salisbury in 2020, while Krajicek has never been beyond the third round. They will next play Wimbledon champions Harri Heliovaara and Henry Patten.

It All Adds Up

Portuguese stars Nuno Borges and Francisco Cabral also advanced on Day 7. They beat N.Sriram Balaji and Miguel Reyes-Varela 7-6(1), 4-6, 6-3 to reach the third round at a major together for the second time (US Open 2024).

In an Australian battle, Luke Saville and Li Tu defeated James Duckworth and Aleksandar Vukic 6-1, 7-5, while Sander Gille and Jan Zielinski overcame Gregoire Jacq and Orlando Luz 7-6(2), 4-6, 6-3. The 13th seeds will take on fourth seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Puetz in the third round.

Andre Goransson and Sem Verbeek shocked 10th-seeded Brits Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski 6-2, 6-4, while Ariel Behar and Robert Galloway upset seventh-seeded Americans Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow 6-2, 6-7(4), 7-5. Hugo Nys and Edouard Roger-Vasselin eliminated Ivan Dodig and Skander Mansouri 6-7(4), 6-3, 7-5.
