Resilient. Reliable. Ruud.
Casper Ruud has turned unrelenting work into extraordinary achievement. Known for his business-like demeanour, Ruud’s rise to prominence has been marked by a steady approach.
A former No. 2 in the PIF ATP Rankings, three-time major finalist and 12-time ATP Tour titlist, Ruud is proof that consistency and perseverance can yield incredible results.
Break Norway’s records
Ruud has methodically rewritten the history books for Norwegian tennis. In 2020, Ruud surpassed the mark set by Christian Ruud, his father and former No. 39 in the PIF ATP Rankings, to become the highest-ranked Norwegian singles player in history. Ruud has since become a stalwart of Norwegian sport, joining the likes of footballer Erling Haaland and long-distance runner Jakob Ingebrigsten as icons in their domain.
Break World’s Top 5
Ruud’s prowess and potential reached new heights during the 2022 season, in which he achieved a career high of No. 2 in the PIF ATP Rankings, claimed three ATP Tour titles and reached two major finals at Roland Garros and the US Open. Ruud was two sets away from adding himself to the exclusive list of Grand Slam champions in New York and becoming the No. 1 player in the world, but has not let that defeat define his story.
Break any limit
Though soft-spoken, Ruud’s ambitions are boundless. Throughout his career, the 25-year-old has continued to defy expectations. Though 11 of his 12 titles have come on his favoured clay courts, Ruud has shown promise on hard courts — where there was once a question mark — by reaching the final of the Nitto ATP Finals in 2022.
